Why? Because there are 2.77 billion social media users worldwideand it only continues to increase. Social Media users account for 79 percent of the population in United States. Statistics show that active social media users are 90.4 percent of millennials, 77.5 percent of Generation X, and 48.2 percent of Baby Boomers. It is estimated that an average of two hours and twenty-two minutes per day/per person are spent on social networks. Media platforms play a crucial role on influencing, interacting and communicating with people, which allows you to reach more potential new customers – Providing essential cost-effective business opportunities.


Facebook is the market leader hosting billions of accounts on both desktop and mobile versions, shaping the social media landscape since it launched. With over 2.32 billion active monthly users, it remains the most widely used social media platform. Instagram reached 1 billion monthly active usersand more than 500 million are daily users.

It is considered the most engage network after Facebook, mostly used by young adults (under the age of 35). Twitter has 68 million active monthly userswith an annual growth of 11 percent. LinkedIn, best known as a professional network, counts with 610 million usersworldwide. These are only some of the major social media platforms but there are many more that can boost and expand your business.


Social networks are now a substantial part of every marketing strategy, it’s a key element for successful business growth.
